On Wednesday of this week, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officially approved the Savannah Port Expansion Project, which will deepen the harbor by 5 feet and provide increased accessibility and capacity for the nations fastest growing port. The Georgia Chamber has been a steadfast supporter of the harbor expansion, hailing it as one of the most critical economic development opportunities in the states history.
